Ceilidh 08/03/12

Less than a week after our (highly successful) sleepout, we got together with the GU Amnesty society and GU Red Cross to host a big ceilidh in Qudos. This isn’t the first time we’ve done this; it has in fact now become an annual tradition!

As expected, this ceilidh went brilliantly. A large number of people came along, and although some were reluctant to dance at the start, by the end we had everyone dancing around. This may have been caused by the great music, the energising atmosphere, or the large amount of alcohol consumed by many attendees.

Although the exact total is still not known, the ceilidh raised over £300. The money raised by this event went to the Red Cross International Tracing and Messaging Service, which I can assure you is a very worthwhile cause 🙂
